ASENT 18th Annual Meeting Registration is Open!
Please join with us at the American Society for Experimental NeuroTherapeutics, Inc. (ASENT) 18th Annual Meeting March 17, 2016, through March 19, 2016, in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
The ASENT annual meeting is the only neurology forum that brings together representatives from academia, try government (FDA and NIH), and the pharmaceutical industry to engage in meaningful and collegial ways about scientific and clinical issues of importance to the research and treatment of neurological diseases. This audience is uniquely positioned to advance knowledge of neurological diseases given the diverse backgrounds of its constituents.
Through didactic sessions and discussions this year, participants will be informed about current understanding and future opportunities for cannabinoids and psychedelic agents as therapeutic agents, current and emerging applications for neuromodulation devices, gene therapy for Parkinson’s disease, neutraceuticals, and pharmacological and regulatory requirements for biogenerics. There are Pipeline Presentations of the latest projects ready for translation and seeking support. A session on life style modifications as a neurotherapeutic will focus on multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease and will provide the professional and lay attendees with concrete strategies to implement scientifically established nutrition and behavior modifications that can favorably affect the natural history of these diseases as well as alleviate symptoms.
For the first time at an ASENT meeting, early career basic and clinical neuroscientists will have a session devoted to career opportunities in neuroscience. Brief presentations about careers in academics, small and large pharma companies, device companies, FDA, NIH, and with private funding groups will be followed by small group sessions so that attendees have the opportunity to meet with representatives of their area of interest. It is anticipated that attendees will be able to follow-up with these career experts after the ASENT meeting and that valuable connections will be formed.
We encourage you attend and invite others to join in this unique, collaborative effort. Please check out the Annual Meeting Program and register on the ASENT website (www.asent.org ). We look forward to seeing you at this year’s ASENT meeting.
